Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Legal Om, a sole proprietorship based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India (“Legal Om”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use the Legal Om website, web application, Android application and iOS application (together, the “Platform”).
1. Information We Collect and Why
- Mobile number. Used to sign you in by one-time password (OTP). It serves as your account identity.
- Name and email address. Collected when you sign up for a trial or enrol, and used to contact you about your trial, batch or enrolment.
- Test and practice activity. The questions you attempt, your answers, scores and time taken. Used to show you your results, rank and report card, and to build your personal Mistake Book.
- Answer-sheet photographs and voice notes. Collected only when you use the copy-checking service. Used to evaluate your answers and to send you feedback. Your answers are read and evaluated with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, and the evaluation is reviewed by Legal Om faculty before it is released to you.
- Device information. Your device type, browser and a device identifier. Used to prevent one account from being used on several devices at the same time and to discourage malpractice.
- Device and visit records. For each device that opens the Platform (including visitors who have not signed in), we record a device identifier, whether the Platform was opened in our app or in a browser, the browser/device description, the page through which you arrived, the pages first and last visited, the number of visits, the times of these visits, and which accounts signed in on that device. We use this to understand how students find and use the Platform and to improve it. These records are deleted when you delete your account. Our iOS application also uses Google Firebase Analytics for app usage statistics.
- Payment records. The plan, amount, date and payment or order ID of each purchase. Payments on our website are processed by Razorpay, and purchases inside our Android or iOS application by Google Play or Apple. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank account details.
- Notification token. Collected only if you allow notifications on your device. Used to send you class reminders, test alerts and updates.
2. Storage, Processing and Service Providers
Your data is stored and processed by the following service providers, who handle it solely for the purpose of operating the Platform:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — sign-in, database, file storage, notifications and server functions. The database is hosted in India (Mumbai). Answer-sheet photographs, voice notes and reports are stored in the United States of America.
- Microsoft Azure — reads the text of your answer-sheet photographs (optical character recognition).
- Anthropic — AI used to help evaluate your answers and prepare feedback, which Legal Om faculty review.
- Voyage AI — AI used to search our study material and question bank while evaluating answers and checking questions.
- Razorpay — payments made on our website.
- Google Play and Apple — purchases made inside our Android and iOS applications.
- Interakt (WhatsApp Business) — sending you messages on WhatsApp, such as your evaluation report and fee receipt.
- Gmail (Google) — sending you emails, such as your evaluation report.
- Telegram — internal alerts to our staff when something on the Platform needs attention.
Some of these providers process data outside India, including in the United States of America. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
3. Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account remains active or you remain enrolled with us, so that your test history, rank and report card remain available to you. When you delete your account, your data is deleted as described in section 5.
4. Your Consent
By creating an account, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in this Privacy Policy and in our Terms and Conditions. You may withdraw your consent at any time by requesting the deletion of your account, as described below.
5. Your Rights and Deletion of Data
You may delete your account yourself, at any time, from inside the app or the website: open My Profile and choose “Delete my account”. You will be asked to type your Student ID to confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your login stops working at once, and your profile, test and practice history, notes, flashcards, chats, device and visit records and profile picture are erased. You may also request deletion by telephone or WhatsApp at 81031-79376, or by email at legalom.official@gmail.com, from or quoting your registered mobile number.
Two kinds of record are kept even after your account is deleted: fee and payment receipts, which we keep for our accounts, and answer copies you submitted along with their evaluation, which form our examination record. Neither of these can be used to sign in, and your profile, name, phone number and email are removed from your account itself. Our internal record of the deletion keeps only your account’s internal ID and the date. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund; please see our Refund Policy.
6. Age Requirement
The Platform is intended only for users aged eighteen (18) years or above.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
